Hey all, just in from the garage where I have been fitting my new frame to my cab (yeah thats my idea of fun for New Years Eve), and I have a question. Since I don't have any front sheetmetal yet, I don't have a reference.
Anyone happen to know the width of the 48-52 front clip, more specifially the width at the top of the wheel opening, from the outside of one fender, to the outside of the opposite fender. I'm working on an F-3, but I think the measurement should be the same, or very close for all trucks F-1 to F-6. I don't need a super exact measurement, but just a good ballpark one.
Also, can anyone measure the width of the stock front bumper for me. Thanks in advance.
1951 f-1 as close as i can measure outside edge of front fender to outside edge of opposite fender at the centerline of the front wheel is 69 3/4" and the width of the bumper from one end to the other is 63 1/2". hopefully this is the measurement you needed. (i'm having an exciting new year's eve too!)
