Can you take axles from a dually and convert them to a SRW application?? I'm thinking you can remove the hub ends and swap with SRW ends to use the axles.
Anyone tried this?? Too much work?? Too much $$$??
Now, I've never done it, but from what I've read on the front it's just a matter of removing the dually spacer but on the rear you'd have to run a 2" spacer (If I remember correctly) so that the tire wouldn't be tucked in.
Sounds good. I want to upgrade my front, and have found a set for sale. Front and rear from a dually, if I could use the rear that would be a Dana 80 under a SRW truck.
I am thinking of doing the DRW to SRW conversion on my 04' F-350, a buddy of mine has a set of wheels of his F-250, just to borrow one to see if it fits. Now what to do about the rear fender holes in the bed,,after I remove them,????
I have seen several take-off beds around, now if I could only find one the right colors,,!

Yes, it is. If your truck (no matter what brand) has a GVW of 10,001# or over, there is no suspension height limit, as you might already know Mass goes by driver's side door height to measure your lifted truck. Once your GVW is over 10,001#, it goes by f/r bumper height of no more than 30". Bumper mods are allowed. At the recent 4XJamborees, I saw 2 lifted Super duty duallys with HUGE lifts (20" and 8") and both had SRW but started out as DRWs.
