I have a 1992 F250 7.3 diesel 4x4 My brakes wont hold pressure I replaced master cylinder and calipers had the system pressure bled. I dont have any fluid lose and vaccum is good. Can the prportioning valve let fluid bypass, or the rear anti-lock braking system valve let fluid to bypass.
I would say there is still air in the system someplace without knowing the background of the problem. Sometimes air can be a real bugger to get out. There are a few tricks to it if you have problems.
What made you decide to replace the master in the first place? Was it for this problem?
I replaced the cylinder for the same resone I was loosing brake pressure. I had a shop pressure bleed the brakes after the cylinder was replaced. the pedel does not go all the way down with motor off. if that helps
I had a problem like you are describing on my 1990 F-150 with the rear abs. I replaced everything like you did and could not get a good pedal. Sometimes it was good...most of the times not. Anyway I bypassed the rear abs valve on the frame rail and that fixed the problem. Its worth a shot. Get some brake fittings from the store and bypass it. I bet it will work. Let us know how you make out
