Looking to buy an Explorer possibly - 4wd system, transfer case, etc?
All,
We are looking at getting a mid-size suv and are looking at Explorers. We need at least 5000lbs towing capacity.
I looked at a 2025 model year this evening. It is an "active package. There is a rotary control to select awd/4wd modes. However, on the gear shift rotary control there is an "L" button in the middle. Does this button hold the transmission in a lower gear? Or does it shift the transfer case in to a.true "low range"?
If it does not shift to a.true "low range" - what should we be.looking for that would do this? Does Ford have that in a particular "package"?
