Memorial Day means more than a long weekend. It’s a time to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country and the families who continue carrying that sacrifice every day.

One of the things we’re especially proud to support is the work being done by Building Homes for Heroes, helping injured veterans and their families through mortgage-free homes and ongoing support programs that create real, lasting impact beyond a single day of recognition.

I’m reminded of their first ever tandem home giveaway. It was for U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Kaia Santana and U.S. Army Sergeant James Burse. Both veterans received mortgage-free homes that were built side-by-side in Orlando. It’s the kind of project that puts the mission into perspective and shows how much these families deserve continued support long after their service ends.
