jays '56 f-100
Hey guys, I recently had a Heidts IFS & coil -over rear installed on my '56. I know, I know! Anyway, I'm 84 yrs young and was seeking a softer and better handling truck. It's basically very nice, but I would still like a softer ride. Heidts tells me that the springs are the standard rating for the '56. 500 lb. rating for the front & 250 lb. rating for the rear. So I'd like to hear from anyone who has had the same experience and what was the solution. Thanks, Jay

What air pressure are you running in your tires? Lower pressure and taller sidewalls can translate to softer ride. Tires are part of the suspension. Adding weight to the truck can be helpful, too. That big, empty bed can make a lot of harsh bouncing.
