Aluminum Prices Up Over 90% During Past Year
Per Kiplinger - Over the past year, due to tariffs (up from 10% to 50%) and the war in Iran, aluminum prices have increased by 90%. The transportation (including the aerospace) sector accounts for 1/3 the aluminum demand. Auto manufacturers consume 30% more aluminum now than they did in 2020.
