In my 1966 F100 2WD, I have a Tremic T5 transmission. The shift boot I have is too small and interferes with shifting.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good shift boot to use for this application?
If you can share the dimensions of what you’ve got now and what you’re looking for in a shifter boot, we can dig into some options. We’ve got a pretty wide selection, as @ibuzzard mentioned. With a little info, there’s a good chance we can find something that’ll work.
Rex, I have heard Summit has a very generous return policy. I’d just buy it / try it, maybe return it? I don’t believe you’re likely to find many around here that have a T-5 in their trucks and can advise you.The kit Christmas recommends looks to be rather universal, at any rate.
I don’t think of 92.00 and change as being much money these days.

We do try to keep our return policy pretty fair. The standard window is 90 days from purchase, and the part needs to come back in new, unused condition.
For something like a shift boot, it’s fine to mock it up and check fitment, but once it’s been fully installed or screwed down, we wouldn’t be able to take it back.
I put a Tremec TKX in my 65. Believe i used a Hurst shifter boot that I probably sources from summit racing for my T-18 installation, which i didnt love, hence the TKX.
