I'm posting to get a good indication of what my '56 F100 might weigh. The truck has aluminum heads, aluminum intake Chevy 350 with power steering, TH350 transmission, Plymouth Volare front clip with power disc brakes, fiberglass hood, fenders, running boards, aluminum radiator, AMC Pacer rear end, 19-gallon aluminum fuel cell, and aluminum American Racing 15-inch wheels. All good guesses are welcome as I don't have a way to get the truck weighed. Thanks!

I have a 55 with nova front subframe, s10 rear diff. 351w and FMX transmission. Poly fuel tank in factory location. Weld Racing 5 star wheels and i weighed it several years ago on race scales to see what my front end weight was so i could order coil overs. It was too heavy on front end for stock springs. My total weight with me in it was 3630.
I agree with Brian Moran. There are a lot of places and ways to weigh your truck. If you don't live near a landfill or a metal recycling place or near a truck stop, try a place that delivers coal, feed or stone.

My truck is at least a couple hundred pounds heavier than what I was thinking as your weights will testify. I'm about to order a stall torque converter and the engine is out but needed a good idea as far as weight of the truck. Thanks to the both of you!!!

True story. I knew a guy that had a service station locally, he was a bit of a smart ***, (not me) and here in the British Columbia Rocky Mountains an American tourist asked him one day how much a close by large mountain weighed and he answered, with or without the snow.
Lots of truck stops in TN with scales, here in the Nashville area I have used a couple at T/A truck stops. In SoCal I used to go to the local recycling center, they would weigh a vehicle for free just as long as you didn't require a weigh slip.
My 50 F1 I built years ago with original suspension, modified with a stock 289/C4 combo and 9" rear weighed 3000 pounds. I think the 2nd gen effies are a little heavier than the earlier trucks, especially a 56, and you'd probably be in the 32-3400 range. That should get you close enough to order a t/c. All your aluminum up front would allow for some transfer of the weight rearward for better balance, so that's a good thing.
Less than $20.00 to have it weighed at Loves in Texas, sure TN is the same. A lot of truck stops have scales. When I moved in the military I would use them for my before and loaded weight to give to transportation.
I'm not sure if all you guys are just offering general ideas on weighing or missed the fact the OP's engine is out of the truck and isn't able to run it over the scales at the moment. fyi.

I am not seeing where he says the engine is not in the truck.
