replacing manual windows 99 e250
1999 e250 ext van
how much work is it to replace the manual window mechanism? mine stripped out and broke with vise grips tried to weld but ill upload those pics later, wh has the best kit for cheap? no junk yard her in oregon has e series vans, i tryed the bolt thing and failed because you cant weld steel bolt to aluminum. friends said yes tryed and failed ill send pics
who has done it with manual windows. i need one asap

It's called the window regulator (about 40 bucks online)
Pretty easy to replace really
Remove the panel, drill the rivets and remove and replace the regulator
watch a few videos
The manual ones are easier than the power ones due to the regulator design
Ebay item number 267250046297 is a drivers side one for 31.59
The rivets are special "peel" type rivets
** You'll break the glass if you use the wrong rivets
It takes a BIG DADDY riveter
So see if you can afford the riveter, procure the rivets and go to town
Those rivets drill out easy if you center punch the steel pin out of the center of the old rivets you need to drill out
I can replace a regulator in 25 minutes but i've done thousands and bought my first BIG DADDY in the late 80's
Watch a few 1A auto videos on the subject
You can do it and save yourself 2-300 bucks
