Hey fellas, got a 05 with the 4.6L and got the P0401 DTC code. Would this be the EGR valve is plugged up and can it be cleaned or does it need to be replaced? Also where is it on the engine. Here's the pics of my scanner.
I think the valve on those has the DPFE built into the valve.. Back when the dpfe and the valve where seperate there were some test to figure out which was the issue..On those since it all together most times its going to be the valve assembly since both DPFE and valve are the same thing.. there are other test, but a bi-directional tool would be needed for those.. The valve is not far from the throttle body on the driver side
