Returning here after several years… now the proud owner of a nice 1963 F100 in Rangoon Red.
Curious if the bell crank that holds the lower ball stud is supposed to rest on the manifold as some sort of travel stop? Everything is working fine and I just rebuilt the Ford 1100-1bbl, but I can't see how else to have the linkage not rest on the manifold under tension by the spring?
I have the original paper service manuals, including the parts and chassis manuals, and there isn't a great diagram of the components in this area.
