First time posting, long time lurker. I have a 1997 7.3 XLT 4 Door SRW 4x4. I'm at a loss. I am losing power, its acting like it is out of fuel after driving for 10 - 15 mins. under a load. within the last year I have replaced the injector orings, the rear abs valve, the fuel lift pump, orings in the fuel bowl, selector valve on the dash (double checked it was for a diesel), I also replaced both tanks, sending units (with shower heads), and vents on the tank. I had trouble getting the sending units to seat correctly (I think). I have good fuel pressure at the schrader valve ( i have not checked it since replacing the fuel pump, I did that last night). after replacing the fuel pump I drove it and it drove better (faster reaction to throttle) for 30 mins, which is longer than before. It then died like before and the restart was as difficult as before the replacement. I am unsure what the issue is at this point. Do I continue down the fuel system or do I redirect to the HPOP? I have forscan to collect data, just not sure what to even look at at this point. TIA.
I cleaned everything related to the fuel bowl, screens, new gaskets, and the bowl itself. I haven't been able to get a psi reading while driving but the crank is 40 psi if I am remembering correctly. It was within whatever the range is, I remember looking it up and checking mine and not being concerned with it. I thought it was losing it during driving. I ordered the adapter and it was too large for the port (Super duty adapter maybe?) but at that point I just bought the pump. I should say I did not change the supply line or banjo bolt, there was no leak after reinstalling.
so ran it & it died after 5-10 mins of pushing it. 55-60 mph. What numbers am I looking for? Or what would be the best method to provide my data, screenshot? Or just the range?
Unplugged the ICP there was a noticeable pick up in the idle. It sounded better. Other than driving it until
it dies i’m Not sure how else to check it. I will replace that sensor & see in a few days I guess. Thank you!
Finally got the ICP sensor in and around to installing/testing. I will attach my new data. The issue is still there, although it does seem to run better until it dies. I was messing around with the forscan and I got several new dtc P1280, P0603, P0344, and P0340. I may not have followed the procedure correctly. I will recheck it.
