It's not in a truck, but I figured I'd ask here. This looks like I need a new power steering pump.
I'm open to suggestions and brand recommendations.
I've done a lot of mechanical work on my truck, but never a power steering pump.
It's an '86 Mustang 5.0.

I would remove the pulley and see if the hole in it is just going out of round. Whether it is that or the pump, something needs replaced or you will have a more expensive repair when it comes apart.
Thank you @rwfid .
I showed the video to a life long friend of mine, who has been a mechanic for 40 years and owns his own shop.
He said as long as it's not taking the edge off the belt, don't worry about it.
I'm going to go with that and keep an eye on it.
I'll probably buy a spare belt and throw it in the spare tire compartment, which I've already done with my '88 F150.
I have a tote behind the seat of my truck that I put spare parts in for those emergency situations. You can never have enough spare parts handy on road trips when everything on your truck is 35 years old.
Took a closer look at the belt today. It's splitting and feels dry rotted. I put a new belt on and I'll keep an eye on it. This car doesn't get driven much, maybe fifty miles a week on nice days. I'll probably end up replacing the pump and the pulley. Old belt left, new belt right.
