Interested in information about the 3.5
Good afternoon.
I'm looking at a 2020 Expedition with 217K miles. It has the 3.5 twin turbo V6, what are the known issues with this motor, transmission, driveline? I recall hearing something about water pumps and changing them is very expensive since the front cover has to be removed. Anything else to check for before purchase?

Nothing to worry about as far as internal water pumps.
That was ONLY a front-wheel drive vehicle platform issue due to packaging into a tighter engine bay.
The 10-speed is no doubt a potential money drain on a ‘22 if it hasn’t been replaced with a revised version.
I believe the 3.5 itself has pretty much been ironed out as far as phaser issues and whatnot.
Anyway, why stick your post in this subforum that gets few looks? There is a ‘21-later F150 subforum and a specific 2015+ Expedition subforum for you post in.
