No power to the 2003 Expedition
I had the problem with the fuel pump relay melting down. It took the board with it when it happened. So, I installed a new fuse box. Lo and behold, she started right up. Fantastic. Mind you it was a real pain to get to this point, but not really pertinent. So I decide I'm going to put gas in it so I can drive her to work the next day. I'm turning at the end of my street to head to the gas station and the engine tries to die and the battery light flashed for a second. It goes away and runs like normal. I think its weird but keep driving. I stop, put gas in, then go to leave aaaaaaaand nothing. Not lights. Not chime. No click. Nothing. Battery still has juice, its relatively new. But it acts like there's not even a battery in it. Walked home (only a couple of miles) and tow it home early the next morning. I'm at a loss, folks. I can't think of what's wrong. Or for that matter why it kept running. But if I try to connect the battery now there no sparks, so the Expedition has a break in the circuit somewhere. Any ideas? This is really killing me.
You should be able to diagnose this quickly with either a test light or a meter. Google "voltage drop testing" for instructionals, if needed.
Check the part number on the fuse box.
