Hi guys. I removed the bed to get access to the sending unit on the gasoline tank to replace it, in the process I removed the house form the side of the bed. I thought the replacement will fix my gasoline gauge that goes down too fast. After failing, with the new sending unit, the gauge behaves the same. But I did succeed on now getting a splash back when filling the tank. Any suggestion? Everything seems to be into place, and I didn't touch the house that release the gasses.
No replies yet so will see if I can get things started. Are these problems on your 88 Ranger? If so double check for a kink in or internal collapse of the fuel fill rubber hose. If its hard, stiff, showing dry-rot cracks, consider replacement while your in there.
