Better grab a spare, or spares. Someday after you get home, and notice the missing wheel cover, it’ll click in your mind what that metallic noise was as you were driving down the road. Then, you’ll have to back-track, and scour the weed-filled ditches and hope.
The 3/4 ton caps are not easy to find, not re-popped like the 1/2 ton ones. I always remove mine before the tire shop does any work, re-install them myself at home. Tire shop workers aren’t as careful these days, and may not put them on carefully, or else pummel them and leave dents. They don’t understand or care how difficult it may be to find a vintage wheel cover, in my experience.

Just to circle back on this - and I actually had guessed this was the case prior to the OP admitting it in our direct message conversation - @69FordF250 and @66ford250bigblue are the same person. So, all is well there.

Clean freshly painted wheels with a weathered hubcaps never seems to match. Here is a visual. '65-'66 painted F 250 caps came both in argent silver with red letters or Wimbledon white with red letters. 3rd photo is a weathered cap. To this day I still don't have a clue on the hubcap color coordination rules in these years. These hubcaps are often found with pushed in centers due to improper installation, straight caps should have a nice full crowned bottlecap look.
