I linked to Amazon. They seem to have the best prices and that is where i am ordering from. I am also buying an air filters just to have on hand and want to make sure i am getting the right ones there too. I am planning on keeping an extra of everything on hand.
Sorry if this is a dumb question I just want to make sure I am getting the right parts before I order.
I've gotten 40k miles out of my air filters by just blowing them out with an air compressor.
That sounds like a swell idea, until you understand you are damaging the filter media by aiming compressed air at it. Same idea with pool filter cartridges and a pressure sprayer as well.

$30 every 10k miles for an air filter is cheap insurance for some of the dusty environments I am constantly in. Just like i probably don't need to change my oil at 1,000 - 1,500 miles, i am ; and I probably don't need to change my oil every 5k miles after that, i am.

Oh my gosh the sky is falling!!! This is a ridiculous take. Are you standing over my shoulder as I blow air through my filter backwards? What is the air pressure of the 7.3 turning 5k rpm and traveling 70mph into a headwind? Is that damaging the filter media?

Thanks in advance,

Good to go on the parts. I keep spares on those myself.

And I KNEW you would be along to dispute me...
You do you. I'm telling you... if you are blowing compressed air through the air filter pleats, you are damaging the media. How much that may be, I can't tell you... because, no, I'm not looking over your shoulder.
Instead of the smart reply... you engage your brain. Air traveling through a filter at highway speeds is nothing like compressed air, focused into even a broad point, let alone a pinpoint blast.

Why wouldn't I not dispute your ridiculous claim. You act like An air compressor is going to be blasting 200psi of air at a pinpoint spot and will rip the filter apart. I can promise it doesn't damage the filter media. I can't imagine living my life with the level of worry you carry around. You just know I'm damaging the pleats but you can't say how much because you have no clue. I never said I was holding an air nozzle point blank and shooting "X" psi of air at the filter.
It isn't just air traveling at highway speeds. the engine is a giant air compressor. It creates a vacuum and sucks so much air through the filter that it creates a whistling sound. If the engine is spinning 5k rpm it is sucking a massive volume of air. If you engaged your brain you would understand that an engine is a massive air compressor and air doesn't just go through the filter because of the speed it's traveling but is forced through by the vacuum created by the engine also.
There is zero reason to engage your ignorance any longer. Go back to worrying about something else that is frivolous.

Install a high quality filter guage and change your filter when it has moved half way. You will be surprised at how much dirt will be there, and still show good. Believe it.Use the air nozzle for your shop vac filter.
