We definitely should try and set something up. Do we want to take a look at sand dunes or just a park and grill out.

I'm game for anything, but I'd go for a campground somewhere. People can day trip just as well.

Now that this thread has some traffic, and your talking camping.... We are planing on a trip to your neck of the woods in mid May. Planing on a day on Macinac Island. Will be in our 30' trailer. Is there more touristy stuff south or north of the bridge, lite houses ect? That will likely determine which side of the bridge we stay on.

We like staying at Mill Creek when we go up there. Great views and really clean park.

Thanks for the tip. Will check them out when it gets closer. Having hand surgery in mid April with a 6 week recovery. I figure once the stitches are out, and I am burning all my pto, I might as well do something. Will be mooch docking for several nites at our daughters new place in Bloomfield Township before we all head North.

Mill Creek is a very nice park. I like St. Ignace State park too depending on the size of your rig, it's an older park and kind of tight.

Not knocking on the state parks, there are many in MO we like, and very affordable. We need full hookups this trip. Will be bringing my wifes sister. Her boyfriend of 35+ years, my deer camp buddy of almost as long recently passed. The best I can remember for the 42+ years I've known her, the closest thing to a vacation for her is a state park in a tent. We thought we would treat her to a trip, full ride on us. Then add our daughter and her husband. Our tanks aren't nearly big enough.
30', no slides.
