I'm looking at converting my 2wd 1963 F100 to 4x4. Specifically for AWD street/track use. Not off-road.
Looking at the Coyote based F150s to use for the front and maybe the rear as well. I've seen quite a few high horsepower stock front and rear 2013+ F150s on the street handling the power quite well. Which is why i'm looking for this to be my a starting point.
Searching, this is what I found so far:
2004-2025 F-150s or 2007+ Expeditions/Navigators have the 8.8 IFS. 2011+ F-150s have 31 spline 8.8 front diffs. So these MIGHT be the strongest stock...?
If there is a better way to go about this. Please let me know as i've just started doing my research.
