Nebraska's "Christmas is coming?" December BS thread
Man, figured someone would make this, since I was off slacking!LOL
With that, welcome to December! Had a nice long weekend. Friday, was not so good. Not just Nebraska falling on their face, but, the daughter wrecked her car, so I get to fix that now. Oh, if only the shop was ready!! Have to replace the front fender, bumper cover and headlight. Be nice to find the correct color ones in the salvage yards, but we'll see.
It's raining buckets down here. Hope the North is enjoying more snow! Don't try too hard to color match Pat. Let it be a reminder to her! Clown car anyone?
Good morning, everyone! Man, that stinks Pat. When it rains, it pours!
Too slick out in the fields to haul manure with semi's yesterday and I'm pretty sure today will be the same story...might even end up the entire week, I don't know yet. I'm too used to snow waiting until January/February to show up around here. The one year I bank on that it decided to do it sooner and hold up my progress...go figure.
Morning guys! Now you know why I bought her a salvage title car! This is incident #4. George, she is fine, just freaked out initially. Like Lee said, maybe I'll intentionally put on mismatched panels!!LOL
Reminds me of when my sister lived in Lincoln and drove a Focus. She said that she "curb checked" once and need a tire fixed. She didn't know where to go on a Sunday. Told her to go to walmart if she was in dire need. Their tech calls me and said she bent the rim, ruined the tire, bent the a-frame and ruined a strut. GEEZ! Thank goodness that one was a salvaged vehicle, too!
Good morning 'Braska...Welcome to December!!! MA Nature blessed us with 7 1/2" of white crap yesterday...this morning she gives us a spectacular showing of the moon. Hope she's taking good care of you!!!
Pat...glad your baby wasn't hurt in the accident...kids have to learn. Apparently...some learn faster than others.
Happy Hump Day Nebraska, Pat, Lee, Kenny, Ken, George and all the crew.
Lee, glad you got the rain and my woods (my childhood home) only had a very light dusting yesterday and it is all gone today.
BUT, Kenny, just a few miles north on here and about a mile north of my house it was a different story. Talk about Semis!! Southbound lanes of U.S. Route 35 reopened; driver rescued
This incident was only a couple of miles from my house.
Pat, with a salvage title, I would make it a clown car!

Man, oh man, that's a bad day right there! I wonder how the fifth wheel and/or the frame didn't just snap into a hundred pieces! I'm sure that the weather may have contributed to that accident to some degree but you almost have to be trying to get to that level of mess-up!
Thanksgiving was fun.... Mother in law, brother in law, my mom and step dad all under one roof and sleeping here too. My parents live in central Iowa so they took of early Friday to beat the storm. They had I think he said 14 inches. We ended up with 3 ish. I did get the receiver mount made for the winch and loaded the 8n with ease Friday during the punishment that Iowa handed us. I knew they were going to hit us hard so I just didn't watch it.
I fought my snowblower a Friday night and all day Saturday. Finally figured out water got in over the summer when I left it out and froze killing the float. Luckily I'm a hoarder of small engine parts and had one.
Sunday morning we took off to take the in-laws home in Oneil. Mom doesn't drive and Ryan who is 30 something functions at about an 8-12 year old. The roads were BAD until we got north of York on 92. I kept looking at my wife like you sure you want me to keep going? I was fine but she gets nervous. On the way home she said there was no way in heck they were staying at our house another week otherwise she would have had me turn around.
Pat my oldest got into his first accident on Saturday as well. He claims he was way back but couldn't get it to stop on the ice. Given how little damage was done I would bet he's telling the truth. 2.5 years of driving I figured he would have totaled the car by now. He was shaken up a bit but no injuries and the car just took some bumper damage.

I’d check smith auto in Pawnee city. They found me a complete front clip for a fusion
