I put one my 5th wheel at the beginning of 2024 season and have towed about 10,000 miles with it since then.
I would say it is the best money I spent on the trailer in terms of improving the towing experience. It was a bit of an adjustment getting used to backing the ball under the Gen-Y, but now it's a non issue. I had a good quality hitch before this (B&W) and it was still a big improvement. I chose Gen-Y over the Goosebox due to not wanting to have a potential (albeit very small) point of failure with the airbag.
The other large improvement was the installation of Sumo Springs on the trailer which I have had since day one.
Gen Y was relatively new when I bought the Goosebox, if I had to do it over today I would still buy the Goosebox. The Gen Y looks like a good hitch, but I like the adjustability of the Goosebox. I have had no problems with the air bag holding air.
