2001 5.4 Expedition I need help
Thanks for the help. I just bought this truck a few months ago. I went hunting and was going slowly up a good hill and my truck stopped while I had the gas pedal floored, engine running. If I get a run and some speed no problems. Even put it in 4wd and the engine was going and the car went nowhere. If I am on flat ground rolling slowly and punch the pedal to the floor I get some misses or it feels like the transmission is slipping in low gear. Riding on the highway the tranny works like a charm so I do not think it is an issue. I could be wrong. I was driving around a turn at about 45mph and the engine cut out and then started right up when I tried to start it. That only happened one time. Could be fuel filter, fuel pump, mass air flow sensor, Idle air control valve, fuel injectors, clogged cats, or I am lost. Anybody have a zero in on this? Thanks. Truck runs fine except when going up steep hills slowly then it will slow to a stop with the engine running, even in 4wd low, and no matter how hard I press the gas pedal there is no power to get up the hill. There were no codes when I posted this, then 3 popped up and I fixed them. The truck runs great except from a stop to the shift to second gear. When I press the gas pedal all the way down it takes off great then stumbles a little then takes off great then stumbles a little, about 3 stumbles. I would not call is a miss. hoping the transmission is not the issue. Tranny runs great shifting like a champ even when I jump on it at high speeds. Ran the truck a couple of days and drove it home 5 hours today so I am thinking if it was a code issue it would pop up. I also changed the fuel filter, tested the fuel pump (cracked some old hoses and got a code, fixed it) and replaced a coil in cylinder #5. Runs really great except when I jump on it while it's in first then a couple of stumbles, then it shifts at about 35mph and no stumbles. Thanks for any help.

Codes
Codes P0171 lean left bank, P0305 misfire #5, P0442 emission leak. I believe I fixed all of these changing some hoses and an ignition coil on #5. Drove it several times including a 5 hour drive home Saturday with a couple of stops and no codes. Thank you.
