Neil, thanks for getting the party started! Completely spaced the date. But, welcome to July all! Did a little work on the Mustang today ( shroud for the fan ) , and some work on the truck again. Going to have to enlist the wife or daughter to help me locate the mirror on the passenger side, want to get those spots done.
Good morning! Got about 1/4 inch of rain this morning. I survived last week and finally dug myself out of a hole at work and at home. I did find time to fix my mower and mow Monday, it had been a week and half and was getting super tall.
Bumper boats were a hit as was the human fooseball at camping week. I ended up with sunburn blisters on my shoulders Thursday/Frida and foosball pinched my arm in 2 places so I have some nasty bruises/scrapes. One gal thinks she broke her toe. Several others were injured, but it's fun, wear shoes when kicking a soccer ball.
Family is in town for the 4th. Seward opened the "worlds largest" time capsule and they want to check it out so we are hotel. Hoping to get to the 71 this weekend and install the oil gauge and get the charging working. i want to be driving the thing.
Good morning, everyone! Lawn got away from me because my back was thrown out last weekend. Started in on it after work and it took me about 3 hours. I was absolutely spent afterwards, could barely get the grass clippings unloaded. At least the A/C still works on my old 2003, haha! I've owned that thing for 13 or 14 years and have never had to touch the A/C on it once! Thanks to my chiropractor, everything hurt EXCEPT my back last night.
Gotta mow Mom's lawn tonight and get ready for the 4th. She wants to take Dad's Scout through the parade so I'll be getting that ready to go too. Good times, good times...
Good morning all, Happy 4th of July! Have a few odds and ends to get done today, then we are heading to a buddies lake cabin for some beer, food, fireworks, and wallowing in the lake! Also having my oldest sons birthday tomorrow, so lucky me, I’m getting up at 4:30
to put a brisket on the smoker.
Good morning, everyone! Hope you all had a good holiday weekend! Mom wanted to take Dad's Scout through the parade. It was fun but also a lot of stress. It tried to die on me just before going through... found a fuse in a dumb spot that was causing the problems. Otherwise, it went just fine! But... back to the grind today, though...
Happy Monday! I took Thursday off and ended up taking a bike trip to Kearney to pickup parts for my buddies jeep with him. My parents showed up after I got back so all the plans I had to getting things done went out the window. Seward was a disaster the 4th so I stayed away except for dropping the kid off with my parents for the parade. My wife was supposed to go in with her but was stuck on the interstate working a semi fire for the better part of the afternoon. My step dad and I spent 7 hours getting the driveshaft back in Cub Cadet. They use these little hard rubber ***** for a u joint and they are an absolute pain. Victory though as I mowed with it yesterday before listing it for sale. That thing has been in my way in the garage for 4 weeks. I was supposed to be a couple hour job that turned into head gaskets and everything fought the entire time.
Picked up another freebie mower this weekend and got the other one I had running. Need to get those sold to fund the bobcat project. Fingers crossed I'm hoping to get back on the truck by this weekend. I want to get it charging again, oil pressure gauge hooked up and tested and the new box buffed. I need the trailer out of my garage to haul a load of iron and get the bobcat in.
I have a new boss at work. Feels like everything is in limbo around here and I don't really knew if I report to the new boss or the old boss, both are pushing initiatives.
Merry Monday Nebraska, Pat, Lee, Kenny, Jim, TC, Ken, Neil and crew.
I hope everyone survived the 4th with all the fingers, toes and nose.
It was a hot and steamy in my woods but it was nice when the breeze kicked up.
The heavy rain missed us last night but the gauge still said about and inch which means I don't have to run the sprinklers and pull hose tonight. The wife wants me to golf with her tonight since she can't find a parterner.... I have golfed since the summer of 2006.....
