Good morning Shawn. Kind of typical July weather. On/off rain today, but right now Friday through Sunday sound nice. When are you headed to Nova Scotia?

Plans are changing as I type this. Kids want to come up the 19th for a long weekend (4-5 days). I now have a meetng the 14th. So we are going from a long trip to short days away for now and maybe this fall when things quiet down we'll head out for a couple of weeks. Right now things seem a bit crazy. Was looking at camp gounds locally and state parks and many are booked solid through the first half of the month so I suspect we'll look for some boondocking spots in the national forest to get away from people. Also, the ferry to Newfoundland from Nova Scotia has no vehicle availability until mid-August - already booked solid through July and half of August.

I'm actually getting a lot of deferred maintenance done around here so not feeling too bad about the change in plans. I got the zero turn transmission fluid changes, got fresh oil in the Kubota, have all the materials to do a transmission flush of the Kuboto (only 300 hours overdue!), lawns are actually looking good, some tree work done in the lower field and I still have a couple of cords of wood to stack.

Good morning Vermont and FTE land. Have a productive hump day. Sounds like a sunny warm typical July day.

That's a bummer but at least you are getting stuff done. It's unfortunate, but good for parks, that they are packed. You need to plan ahead a year to get the spot you want. The kids will keep you busy, so you'll definitely need some time alone in the forest after that

I'm not complaining, I have put off a lot of the stuff in getting done. Feels good to shorten up the to do list.

Enjoy your tacos woodchucks. Going to be warm and muggy all day. Mexico might be cooler!

That is a good feeling. I'm trying to do the same. The vacation will feel better knowing you don't have a bunch of tasks to do that aren't being done.

Good morning Roy. Deck is looking great. What is the reason for doing it? Be careful, its easier to get work done with all your limbs. Hopefully your feet and legs aren't really purple. If so, you got bigger problems then your arm

I decided to build this because the concrete steps are in bad shape and this will make the house more attractive.
