Those '25 models sure do look nice. Too bad they were not on the lots when I was shopping.
Why the Platinum over the KR or another trim? I bought my 2024 KR back in January and after comparing the Platinum to it, I couldn't figure out the $10k price difference when it came to options. Besides really just badging.
The kr for 2025 is priced higher than the platinum but has less content. The kr starts at 86k, however for 83k, you can get the stealth performance with ho engine, phone as a key, and rear acoustic windows, features not available on kr. For the same features, you can get the platinum with driver pkg for 79k. Hard to justify buying a kr over a platinum, but they look fantastic in person.

I would prefer the KR but my #1 need is second row bench, not captains chairs.
In order to go KR I would have to strip the truck to bare bones and special order.
Platinum I could have second row bench a lot easier AND have ventilated front seats, not just heated
To get vented front seats and a second row bench seemed like a big ask.
Truck had not gone thru PDI, but with only 2 miles on the odo, it looked like a filthy monkey had grabbed everything in it including the headliner and moonroof cover
The Blue color is the same "almost black" that the SD had. NOWHERE near the blue that is on the Ford website when you Build and Price
I ask because thats the complete opposite of what we felt. We tested a tahoe high country, and the first thing my wife said was "this does not feel worth 85k!" The first expy we tested was the ultimate and the interior was incredible. The lower platinum were less nice as my wife pointed out, and the build quality was lacking, but we both agreed its better than a comparable tahoe. The armada has a much nicer interior than both.

We ordered a non-ultimate package platinum so that we could get a second row bench. Thats the only way we could get the bench on a higher model.
I guess we need to get our wives together and let them figure out which way we should spend $85,000
