Putting a 2004 Taurus V6 in an older Explorer
I have a very low mileage 2004 V6 Taurus (29,000 miles). Does anyone know if this engine would be a good fit to replace a tired Explorer V6? I’m looking to buy an older Explorer that needs a new engine. Thanks for any suggestions.

No. Bell won't match, and how will you make it run with the mix and match electronics?

Explorer engines are not rare.

The OHV engine is much easier to deal with than the SOHC.
