Valve train upgrade
I was reading an article on Hagerty.com and got me to thinking. Has anyone done anything to update the valve train on their y-blocks? When I rebuilt mine, I kept the flat tappets. Is there any aftermarket roller-rocker stuff available? I don’t intend to drive mine all that much, but if it fails, what then? I’m probably just dreaming that something is available.

Aluminum heads are available from John Mummert for 3695.00 a pair. Roller rocker assemblies are available for 1295.00 if purchased with the heads. "ford-y-block.com" I do not know anyone who has installed them on a Y-block, so I can't say anymore about them.

Interesting that they is something out there. If I had unlimited $$, I think about installing them just to have something different.
