Time to rip another month off the calendar. The Holiday season is in full swing and winter starting to show up in areas on the ends of the Great Lakes
Everyone knows what to do so let's get busy and let the BS fly.
good morning NY, yes rip off another month, the last one, frankly where in all heck did the year go? this talk about ripping up flooring, please don't remind me of what i face since we can't get out oak floor to stop squeaking.
Up to 24 here Charlie. Sometimes floor wax along the seams and a little hair drier/heat gun works on squeaky boards.....sometimes.
In the back room, here, I put down particle board on top of 3/4" plywood, then artificial grass carpet. (Fad back then last century ) Was going to put up paneling (another fad) so I had the outlets sticking out of the wall a bit to allow for the paneling that never got put up, Another
Dandy December One New York, Neil, George, Steve, Charlie, Ken and all the crew this Sunday morning!
30° to start the day and about 1/2 inch of Sheet on everything except the roads. I guess they were warm enough to melt the sheet but wonder if it may have frozen! I did see 28° before calling it a night about 2300. OH, actually that is when I woke up in my chair and went to bed! LOL The say a little more sheet this morning and sum sun this afternoon and 38°.
I hope everyone has a Joyous and Blessed day. I still plan to be off to Mom's for my Sunday routine!

I certainly remember the artificial grass for the entry room fad. Still not a bad idea. When I grew up, going up to grandpa and gramma farm, they had dirt in their back room where you came in and it doubled for wood storage for the kitchen stove and anything else that might have been put down there. It seems I almost remember a quarter of a beef hanging out there. Things sure were different a while ago.
coldest was down to 16 about 0600, highest reached all of 28 minus the windchill ,
don
your not alone remembering the old days on farms in upstate ny, my GGP's up in schenevus were no different, rear entrance room had a dirt floor, outdoor plumbing, we hand milked the cows, plow horses pulled the machines, no gas tractor till about 1958 than in the 60's when they got a 2n than we learned the farm was going to become interstate 88, 120 acres gone to be a highway.
good morning up and down staters , another very burr morning here, 16 on my thermometer weather channel shows 15 in walpack township, jerseys well known ice box
lowes sent a email saying those 50 chunks of wood up to 16 feet long would be arriving about 0800, going to be fun to move into the garage to keep it dry with these temps. hope the contractor doing the deck work likes working in the cold
Good Monday morning New York, Neil, Rod, Charlie, Steve, George, Ken and all the crew!
Hard to believe we are in December! Hope all had a great weekend!
Good morning to all. Be glad when the time changes again. Pup keeps wanting to go out around 5:00 to 5:30.
Roofer for the garage was to start today but "daughter sick" 3rd postponement. Told him to postpone it until Spring. Safety wise, snow and a 6/12 pitched roof don't mix well.
One more cup of coffee then put the recycling out for pickup. Maybe put the recycling out first, then coffee.
Wake up time, Neil. Nice game last night.
around my area it's recycle and garbage first, than coffee. G truck arrives anywhere between 0630 and 0830 with the early time the most found . i'm still in old house mode, waiting to hear them coming than run to get it out otherwise it was pickup what the bears scattered. here in 3 months we've only seen 3 . of which only 2 a mom and cub were seen crossing the road going up into the delaware river NP area .
Merry Frozen Monday morning New York, Neil, Steve, George, Charlie, Craig and all the crew.
Started the morning at 16°, sun is up and headed to maybe 33°. I can assure everyone I will be safe and warm today. My outside work load is ZERO!! Nope Nothing happening outside until it is well above freezing for a day or 10!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend and did get in much trouble!
Morning everyone. Ran into a little white stuff on my way to work this morning. Nothing on the ground at home but there is a few inches on the ground at work. Hope that your day goes well.
