New Chapter member introduction

Hello all, I've recently joined the forums and and regional chapter on the recommendation of Ed from FICMReapair.com.

#TLDR - I'm looking for someone in Phoenix with a 6.0l who would be willing let me put the new FICM from FICMRepair.com in their vehicle to see if the issues with the randomly coming and going p02XX codes follows it.

I've got a 2005 Ford E-350 6.0l with 166k miles on it, that I've been working on for about 10 months getting it transformed into a post apocalyptic adventure van. Additional Pics can be found in album on my profile .

Front view of my E350

there have been some bumps and setbacks and BOY I've learned a lot about the 6.0l Engine in the last year. I learned how to backflush the 6.0 oil cooler, had my buddy a diesel mechanic help me change my vgt solenoid, while putting it back together noticed the turbo needed to be rebuilt and He made the mistake of saying if there was anything else I wanted to do while we were in there for the turbo rebuild it would be cheaper to do it all at once

At the beginning of July we were 2 days into a project to install project. . .

on deck... a Bulletproof Diesel External Engine oil cooler, EGR Undelete with BPD Square EGR Cooler, New AC Compressor, New Condenser, New USADiesel 240-amp Alternator, New Water Pump, Upgraded Lee Power Steering Pump, mishimoto thermostat, new motorcraft sensors throughout, new wiring harness (cam crankshalft sensor lines were both having issues and the lines to the ficm were worn in the usual places and the vehicle was generating random p0281 and p0271 error.

Replaced the 9 month old Costco interstate batteries that were no longer holding a charge, located a horrific short to frame with the charging stud, and problems in the existing battery cables being rotten to the core due to whomever originally installed the battery disconnect on a lead acid system, put the disconnect on the negative side of the run causing the positive lines to completely electrolyze. Ended up replacing them with Optima Extreme 930 CCA AGM Batteries and rebuilding the entire batter power harness from the starter back to batteries to resolve it.

things you don't want to find when dropping your batteries

Got it all back together 100 hours later oil cooler in place and started it up, and had a pretty loud exhaust leak, and turbo boost low errors along with a bunce of injector circuit low codes in Forscan.

vehicle started fine, was running a little rough and guessing that the short to body had damaged the FICM, as I hadn't been having these kinds of errors often after armoring the ficm lines, prior to the rebuild, I went ahead and contacted FICMRepair.com and basedon the number of errors and the situation they agreed it was likely the FICM in the vehicle. Did an advance replacement and when the new unit arrived I got it installed. still showing injector circuit low on two cylenders

after fixing the exhaust leak we're looking at

Ed had me ohm out the #1 injector and according to my diesel tech it passed
1-2 1.5ohm
2-4 1.1 ohm
1-3 OL = >=13000
1-4 OL = >=13000
2-3 OL = >=13000
2-4 OL = >=13000

reported this back to Ed and he had me to a stress test on the vehicle to make sure the HPOP was working properly cleared my codes did a high speed run up the 101 to costco to get fuel and bombed back, no errors on the way up, on the way back pulled out of costco, vehicle started running round and CEL came back on. Got home and recorded the results for him. we talked about it and he asked if I knew anyone wtih a 6.0 that i could try swapping the ficm into. . .

so that brings me to why I'm in the regional group... I'm looking for someone in Phoenix with a 6.0l who would be willing let me put the new FICM from FICMRepair.com in their vehicle to see if the issues with the randomly coming and going p02XX codes follows it.
