Nebraska’s July “Summer is wonderful!” July BS thread
Good morning all, and welcome to July!! A wet, soggy one here today. But, the best season of the year continues, so, with that, let’s get the BS going!!
Good morning, everyone! At risk of sounding ungrateful... I wish the rain would stop for a while.
Had a customer in my store the other day and I couldn't tell if he was drunk, high, stupid, or a combination of all three. He asked a question I've been pondering all weekend and maybe someone will have the answer...
What is worth more money? A pound of Bud Light or a pound of firewood? I'm perplexed... mostly about why I continue doing customer service, but the value is an interesting thought, too.
Joyous July One Nebraska and I see Pat lives!! I hope everyone had a great end to June like we did last night, and July starts as nice for you as it has today for me.
It is the first day of Re-Retirement for my seeing that today is the first day I don't go to work! OH, wait there is that Honey Do Work List hanging on my computer!
Good Afternoon! What the heck was this unpredicted rain this morning? That caught me off guard.
We had a great week last week. Hot the first couple of days. My generator was blowing through fuel like I've never seen before and the newly fixed AC was on the struggle bus. I probably used only slightly more fuel in the remaining 5 days compared to the first 2. We finally made it a year where the cops weren't called on us (always some idiot calling about something we didn't do) but we did have the Sherrif come out for some information on an unrelated to us fight we watched happen on the road.
We leave tomorrow for Ohio. Swinging through St. Louis to take a tour of the arch with my 7 year old. She seems to think that will be pretty cool and scary at the same time. Hopefully our van with nearly 220k fares well on the trip.
Nothing new from down here. Still steamy, muggy hot. I have another appointment for my knee on the 22nd. Something isn't going smoothly with the right knee.
Merry Monday evening Nebraska, Pat, Lee, TC and all the crew.
Pat I am glad to see the 67 is getting a little love. Hope you and the family are doing well.
Lee we have had about 3 weeks of HOT STEAMY weather that would run beach goers inside and crank up the AC. We have gotten used to it!
TC, Where in Ohio and how long will you be in the Worthless nut state?
Good Taco Tuesday morning Nebraska, Pat, Lee, TC, Ken and all the crew. It looks to be a nice hot but not steamy day in WV. I may have to do more outside things today!
Columbus Ohio.... And yea, I'm REAL thrilled to go. We are visiting my Wife's best friend. We keep telling him that we will go see him but never do so last year we said fine, 4th of july we'll go. We leave any time now and will be back sometime sunday. Splitting the drives up between days to keep the 7 year old happier. Stopping by the Arch tomorrow morning so she can see that.
3.5 inches of rain last night and looks like not too far from here we had golf ball sized hail just before lunch. I ran out to the camper to grab some stuff last night to pack and found 2 leaks from the monsoon. I thought I fixed one last week but must not have. The other one explains the wet shoes I've found several times when we get somewhere. Guess I have some sealing to do when I get home. The whole roof liner just needs replaced... The crazy thing is it's not that old of camper.
Pat good to see you working on that thing. Muggy for sure. I was swapping tools from my car to the van last night and even at 80or whatever the temp was I was sweating like it was 90 out.
Good morning all, happy Hump Day! Rain finally stopped, work on the 67 continues. Also, got the new radiator in on the 68 Mustang, overheating problem gone!
