Vermont July 2024 - get the fireworks and picknick basket ready to celebrate our country freedom
Good morning Vermont and FTE land. Half the year is gone and another month is starting. Get those summer projects done and go on those vacations. Have a great July.

Joyous sunny July One Vermont, Jim, Shawn and Woodchucks everywhere. I hope everyone had a great end of June like I did. Hot and steamy in the morning but by the time we were out of Church a weather front moved through and the temperature dropped 10°, the humidity dropped 30%, some sun and a nice breeze. Today starts the new month with spectacular weather day.
Remember it is the week of the 4th of July and many are tempted to play with fireworks. Remember, only you can prevent lost fingers, toes and noise be laying it down, lighting it and run!

My Becky is a Retired (15 years now) Charleston, WV Fire Department Paramedic with 30 years of experience. Charleston is the Capitol of West Virginia.
I am a Retired (14 years) Paramedic with 33 years of experience With Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority (KCEAA).
The Wife was strictly a Medic and rarely rode the Big Red truck. 4 Ambulances and a call volume of about 50,000 a year with approximately 30 people.
I Worked for the County KCEAA and Overseen by the Authority Board and County Commission. Kanawha County is where Charleston is located. 12 stations and approximately 200 employees (Full and part time) averaged about 100,000 911 calls.
With that said we both ran an average of 5 to an exhausting 12 calls a shift.
Becky had worse with 3 Hospitals in the City and call time was short due to short transport times.
Me I for a large part of my career had 30 minute transport times.
Yes, we both have see it all, saved it, bought the T-shirt and done wore it out!! We have see thing the Man was never mint to see!!
It was a wonderful and rewarding career and the Wife agrees. Strange way is was a lot of fun!
