My 16yr old just bought himself a project truck! Totally excited for him however I'm very little help to him since I know nothing about cars. But I'm learning with him so here we are. This Truck did turn over when we first bought it but the seller told us the carburetor needed replaced so it was hit and miss with starting. But we heard it roar to life so we know it does run. But over time we've been tinkering and now we've replaced the distributor cap. Unfortunately the orientation dwg we used was wrong and we're now getting bad misfires (emphasis on FIRES). i I've been looking everywhere for a distributor orientation or something that shows me which plugs goes where and I can find nothing out there.
Does anyone know where to look to find a visual showing the right orientation for this truck? all I know is it's a 1980, 8 cylinder and 351 engine. I've found a couple that I thought were close but then they're not quite so that worries me about finding the right one. thanks in advance!
