1961 Falcon Ranchero
1961 falcon ranchero 3 on tree. 170 engine. need floor pans.
my 2022 maverick towing the ranchero home.
Please comment on how well the std or hybrid Maverick pulled that dude?
You didn't specify whether you had Front Floorpans needed or just the Rear floor rusty behind the seat?
or if you wanted to stay Oem superlight pans or build your own in thicker steel? Costs same but weighs a bit more.
Pan replacement is common from either salty road driving in front or dreaded water entry from inside Ford's Wagon/Ranch body swap stupid boltdown bed cover - really common rusty-pan maker.
Either way, you should inspect both areas well if you're doing fronts, backs or both.
Historically pans weren't available for Ranchesand the method was to get a wrecked wagon (few had bedwell rust- sealed interiors) and cutout what you needed, graft into Ranchero.
Plan on replacing the overlooked rusty brake lines and Ecable to the rear axle too, cheap & easy to do when the floor is out....
C2C has all of the pan sold in pcs or complete for 130-150ish
Mac's/Eckler's 260ish,
google search and you'll find anything 1960-65 Ranchero or wagon that will find pans for sale
Neither claim Domestic made or Imports? Probably all import....ask gauge thickness
Some people do the "bulkhead cutouts" at the same time as floorpans, as the seat/carpet is out and your welder is running, etc.
Basic idea is cutout the cab Rr bulkhead not higher than bedfloor to make tire storage or tools behind seat like later models
seal the floors all the way under the bed in the underbed cavity, then
seal the bed panel either; to remain Oem-able* & later removable under slight heat with liquid cold weld....or permanently by welding.
* "Oem-able" my term used to be able to return desired alteration back to original factory condition found desirable by some OEM-only buyers when selling your classic vehicle
some great suppliers are: OER, C& G Ford and Hilltop Classics - both in Esc Calif, Sacto has falconparts.com ron, NWClassic- falconcometinteriors.com in Wa., many more I missed
reach out if I can help, I've owned/restored about 45 diff falcon body cars and 2 same body Rancheros as yours now.
This is not my first falcon or ranchero. I have owned and restored two dozen through the years. all bodies except this first gen ranchero.
Ford faux pa with a panel instead of continue steel bed ate way to many ranchero in half. My buddies el camino has a solid steel bed.
I have started to find the floor parts on line. the car came with pink **** carpet that I pulled out yesterday so the floor could breathe. it had a 1" carpet pad/.sponge under the pink. I brought it home in the rain so all was quits wet. in the dump now. Heading to Motor Vehicles to register it for test drives to sort out issues.
the bench seat has an old but nice covering on it.
I will need 13" steelies and I want original dog dish hub caps. so on the lookout for them now. thanks
I am looking for the 4 lug 13# or 14"

Maybe cut and bend galvanized, silicone it in. Put new floor mats over it.
I have done several trucks that because of salt and snow on boots.
The clear silicone will seal and hold also.
