99 F350 7.3 Dually won’t go into gear

99 F350 7.3 Dually won’t go into gear

My ‘99 died on me driving down the road. Stopped moving that is, not the engine.

I replaced the master/slave assembly and now it takes a ton of pressure to depress the clutch. (The old assembly had no fluid in it.) And when I press it to the floor, I can’t get into any gears with the engine running.

If the engine is off, I can cycle through all gears.

I tried moving the fork manually (with the slave assembly removed) but couldn’t get it to budge by “hand.”

Can you elaborate more on "stopped moving "?
Can you get someone to press the clutch while you watch for fork movement and how much?
New master and slave have the same bore sizes as what came out?

The pedal would go to the floor, so you couldn’t get into any gears. Upon replacing the hose, the old one had no fluid in it.

They looked the same, but I assumed there was just one version.

With it installed, how do you see if the fork is moving?

OK, you replaced the master cylinder, slave cylinder and the hose?

Did you replace or inspect the clutch plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing or throwout bearing?

Did you bleed the system after you replaced the parts?

the master/slave/hose was an assembly that was prefilled. Clutch itself was all replaced a year or so ago.
