Who Made Mid Fifty "SHORT & SMOOTH LEAF SPRING STACKS"?

Hi guys, now that Mid Fifty is no longer an option, I was wondering who made their "SHORT & SMOOTH LEAF SPRING STACKS" or what alternative any of you would suggest? I'm looking to replace my leaf springs (front and rear) to correct a lean my '56 F-100 has, so may as well drop it a little while I'm at it...

Thanks in advance, TJ

Not sure where you are located but as you can tell from the replies already, there are many local suppliers if you seek them out. I know that the guys in Pickups Limited OC use a shop in Orange, CA to build custom springs...you can take your truck in and they will custom build your springs to match your ride height, weight, performance characteristics, etc.

Thanks everyone, I'm in Boston and I'm bummed Mid Fifty closed down, they had everything and great info too (would still love to find out where MF sourced their springs though)...

The Eaton springs seem double the price than other off the shelf springs and although they are obviously well made, $2800 for lowered front and rear leaf spring seems pricey, I'll get in contact with Possie and keep digging...

I just paid around $650 to Eaton Detroit springs for my rear leaf springs on my 51. The $2800 figure seems high for front and rear ? It may be worth double-checking. (The rear springs they did for me will drop the back around 1 ". Six or so leaves to allow for a better ride than the original 10 or 11. Yes, they did supply the springs to Mid-Fifty.

This is what I get from their online ordering page (sorry about the size of the image) - install kits automatically added to the order:

Fair enough, that is certainly their website. I just went with rear springs, no install kit. However, that does not account for the cost difference for the springs. Since I went with the "street rod" type spring with 5 or 6 leaves vs. the "standard spring" with 9 or 10 leaves that might explain the difference. It could be that the cost of the steel is a big driver of price.

( By the way, if you are not going to be hauling much the standard springs might be too stiff, regardless of cost or who you buy from. I had defaulted to ordering the standard springs until I dug out an old Classic Truck article that reminded me I would be happier with less spring,)

Good luck with the project !

OP is ordering 3" drop springs, which adds $150 per spring to the cost. That extra $600 adds up. Everything else equal, the street rod springs comes in $100 less.

I got the "I need it all" kit for the down and forward front spring pair. 999.00 plus shipping in Dec 2022. There were Eaton stickers on them.
