Hey guys, I recently replaced the oil pan gasket on my 1981 F100 302 Lariat. Things went fine until a couple days later I noticed a piece of the new gasket ripped and hanging.
I removed the pan and gasket and did a closer inspection. It looks like there is possibly an old gasket there, both front and back of engine.
should this be removed?
if u notice the picture shows the groove in the rubber that would match the lip on the pan.
