Fuel gauge/DRO calibration
Can the fuel gauge and ceiling console read out get out of calibration? I have a 2003 V10 limited Excursion. I used to put 40-42 gallons of fuel in at empty. Lately 33-35 gallons is all it will hold. My gauge will read empty, the dummy light will be on and the console will say 25-50 miles left. I thought the Excursions had a 42 or 44 gallon tank? I can also remember my digital readout telling me I had 540-550 miles on a full tank.
