There was a lot of hate on the complete new overhaul on the 2023 SD. I love mine and best truck by far in the looks department period. Beastly strong and kinda reminds me of my 1st 1985 3/4 ton.
I didn’t care for the 23’s when I first saw one. They have now grown on me and make the older models look pretty dated. Our 23 makes our 21 feel dated too.
I can't deny that my '19 looks dated, at least from the front view, but that was true as soon as the 2020 face lift came out. Having said that, my taste for the '23 has remained unchanged. Even after seeing them on the road and dealer lots, I still am not attracted to the new look. Aestheticly speaking, I still favor the 20-22 style. When first introduced I felt that certain aspects of the '23 interior may be an improvement, that remains the same, although I haven't been inside of one yet.
They are growing on me as I see more of them but I don’t yet think they look better than the 17-22 trucks.
I agree with ATC, the 20-22 particularly are the best looking Superdutys yet in my opinion. I think they will be a classic style that will age well.
I think they almost got the 23 right, the rear bumper steps and box steps I actually don’t mind at all. But the head light styling on some trim levels is just wow…
Sorry, not really a fan of any of the new trucks. Certainly not ever going to be turning back to admire this 23, after parking.
That said, it could have been MUCH MUCH worse...........

That's my take on it.
I looked at a couple '23s because I needed a truck and mine was broken. I wasn't a fan of the exterior looks, though the interior is pretty nice. Lower trims like the XL look terrible from the front. It's a big reason I went with my Ram.
Love mine so far, but I'll go ahead and say it... I'm not a fan of the 10-speed. It's almost impossible to drive it at low speed without it acting like a herky jerky clutch-popping manual transmission that you don't know how to drive. Lots of hard downshifts too, especially on quick/hard stops.
So far the 2023 is the best one I have owned. Hope the electronics are as reliable as the mechanical. Tend to keep them a while so not going to change just because of the style.
