Smile Bronco lost it's Buck?

Question...anybody have any vague idea what a 1988 Bronco II automatic 4wd Eddie Bauer edition is worth WITHOUT the tranny? The motor is strong, it has less than 150,000 original miles on it and was just tuned up and had new valve cover gaskets put on in Dec of last year...it was only driven less than 250 miles after that when the tranny gave out...i cannot afford to have it replaced, I am a recent widow and am interested in selling it to someone who would like to fix her up and put her back on the road where she longs to be....any and all advice is appreciated!!! by the way...I live in sw Oregon state off of hwy 199.

That totally depends of the condition of the rest of the truck. Assuming it is an automatic transmission (A4LD) then probably not much. I replaced the transmission in my ‘89 Bronco II last year with a remanufactured unit from PATC. The trans was around $2K plus the labor. Someone would really want to have the truck to buy it knowing that they will have to invest another $3K in it just to get on the road.
