Morning men, I’ve had the Helminc.Com site tab opened on my IPad for the past week,…….first looked at the prices and took a quick double-take,…. What? didn’t expect that,…..not that I’m a cheap a*s,…..but, it knocks a dent in the build-out budget right off the boot.
$308 for the USB version of the service manual & $105 for the wiring diagrams (paperback) - total $413,….. sure would like to use “some” of that money on parts,….or to pay a Ford Engineer some side-money to help on some background program module changes I’ll probably need (due to planned upgrades).
Stage 1 of truck build is currently underway,….now, planning stage 2 - adding several higher end OEM systems to this XLT single cab,…..and need these manuals for proper planning,….but, for some strange reason, my fingers just can’t seem to type in that credit card number 😂
You guys know where we can get these a little cheaper, if any?
Morning men, went to alldata.Com this morning - attractive price,….$60 a year subscription, or $130 for 3 years. But, there’s one catch,…..they don’t have 2023 Ford’s on the site yet. Go to their site, hit the drop down box for 2023, then hit the next drop down box,….and you’ll find Ford isn’t listed. Checked eBay and a few other sites,…more cash than Helm. Sure wish I could find an ol’ boy that has these manuals, and just got rid of his truck.
So, I reckon it’s back to the fingers that have difficulty typing in those credit card digits 😀,…..

I have been an Alldata user since 2020 for maintaining my '16 F-150. Works well, so I expected to move on the the '23 F-250 service with them. Not only is the '23 not yet available, but the newest Superduty you can get access to is the 2020. Yep, no '21 or '22 either. This is for DIY service, don't know if the professional service is more up to date.
It was $130 for a downloaded PDF with bookmarks for my '23 F-250. You give them your VIN and the manual is somewhat customized to your vehicle. I have the 7.3L so my manual has no info for the 6.7 diesel. Seems really complete at 18,868 pages as it is the OEM manual from Ford. All my dealer purchased Ford Warranty details show up in the first couple pages along with my name, vehicle info, VIN.. I like it so far.
Thanks Kilgore Trout, headed there now to check it out,,…..$130 is excellent,….did that include the wiring diagrams manual?
Manual I received has 1,500+ pages of wiring harness routing diagrams like this
Around 1,000 pages of details around each wiring harness pigtail connector including pin circuit, wire gauge, and part number. And 300 or so pages of one line diagrams like this:
Yeah man, that might be the ticket right there,….winner, winner, chicken dinner 😁. The reason I didn’t initially consider them - I didn’t think these were the actual Ford Service manuals,…initially figured they were like Chiltons, etc.
Looks like the real deal you sent above brotherman,….which includes wiring diagrams,…..thank you.
Being your manual is fairly specific to a 7.3L (which is cool, less page flipping,…on the computer anyway), does it include everything for the various trim levels,…i.e. XL, XLT, Lariat, KR, etc.? Reason I ask,….the mods I have planned for my single cab, all come from the higher trim levels,….gotta do some goes-into-n’ between my truck,… and these higher trims/ mods I want to make 😎

Looks like it does have features trim related covered. For example, power tail gate, moon roof, parking aid are covered even though I don't have those options. The customization seems to be around the mechanical systems. Engine, axles, 4x4 system.. I have the Sterling 11.6 rear diff and the new 14-bolt Dana 256 front diff which are covered in my manual without info on the other diff options available in the Superduty line up. Hope that helps.
I researched this bud, got a bit shy when I read - “Each repair manual is tailored to match your specific car model, make, year, and VIN—so that means no more red herrings! Wiring diagrams are also accurate since it's customized for your exact vehicle.” I’d need the whole nine yards - tried to call the Company number, it said “call can’t be completed at this time.” May be an overseas number on their site, under ‘contact us’.
Tried to call them to see if I could get an unbridled / no VIN needed copy,….go ahead and give me everything - no joy yet. I’ll keep pursuing and see what floats.
Thanks again man, sniffing around yer suggestion hard on this end 😁

Find a truck with the options, or more, that you want and use that truck's VIN. You can use Ford's build and price tool to configure a truck and then search dealer inventory. Typically, the dealer will post the window sticker and/or VIN for trucks they have on the lot. Not sure how many trucks are at dealers but you are bound to find something you can use.
edit: maybe a forum member with a high end 2023 would be willing to give you their VIN in a PM.
That’s thinkin’ outside the box, thank you shawnee1 - back to work I go 😀
Thanks again man, didn’t think of that.
I hope it works out for you, but I did discover that you can't use the build and price tool for 2023's anymore. But you can use the search inventory tool on Ford's website. The search is limited to 100 miles from the specified zip code but you can enter different zip codes across the country to expand your search.
Researched this further fellars,…. Kinda stuck like chuck on this one,….my truck being a single cab XLT, and all the OEM options I want to put on it are installed on super/ crew cabs,,….could leave me hangin’ from what’s on my truck, versus what’s needed to complete these mods. I.e. wiring harness differences between the single cab and crews, being the first desktop exercise when determining OEM mod installation PITA factor 😂.
If I get a VIN specific manual for a Platty,…. It may not have harness info for my single cab,…..durn. I could take a chance here, but,….my luck dictates, I’d simply be driving down the road and throwing money out the driver’s window. 😎
Reckon I’ll have to take a bite out of a hot .50cal barrel on this one,…..go on and get the Helm. By comparison, it’s pennies in the scheme of things,,…probably ask my wife to type in the credit card digits,….don’t reckon my fingers can physically do it 🤣
Helm has the service manual, but currently out of stock on the wiring diagrams - I’ll have to source this elsewhere.
