The PA Chapter's "Spooky Stuff" October 2023 Chat and B/S Thread
30 more days gone - this year is flying. And you can definitely tell it's getting into the fall months as it was dark by 7:30 tonight. But, being as nice as it was out today, got a lot done. Mowing, trimming, some time on the OBS, laundry, workout, a bit of a landscaping project I'm working on before winter...got a lot done. I'll sleep well tonight.
October starts the 4th quarter of 2023 - make it a great 4th quarter.
Good morning, Gang! Might have pulled the last cucumbers of the year this morning. Still have a week or so before the last tomatoes ripen, and the pepper plants are steadily producing.
Good morning from the south central. Looks like another really nice day on tap. Finished putting the motor together on the 600 Indy last week. Heard a weird metallic knock during the second heat cycle. Sent a bore scope up the exhaust port and saw an abnormal wear pattern on one of the pistons. That was confirmed when I tore the top end back down. It seems from my rudimentary measuring techniques that the aftermarket pistons I bought are slightly undersized which is causing the piston to rock in the bore. The old stock pistons are definitely tighter.
For October, it's kind warm. It hit 82 today while at work. Guess that'll change after the weekend though. We really need to get the plant addition finished before it gets cold.
