I just picked up a 2023 Ford F250. This was a Canadian truck and the speedo is in KM/H. If I change it in setting to show MPH, it shows a smaller font above KM/H but still has KM/H as the main. Is there a way to get rid of the KM/H!?
It is a digital cluster. So I assume it could be changed. When I go in to settings to select "Show MPH" all it does is this (see picture). I would like to remove the km/h altogether and have MPH be the main.
Should be able to make the truck think it's a U.S. model. Now if we could just find the FORScan code to turn back on the compass in these new clusters...
I was up in the air between the 22 haha. Figured I’d regret it if I went with the “older” model.
This is a stupid question- is FORscan something Ford does?

this was done through forscan. It enables compass on the bottom right of cluster

As in at the Ford dealership? There are Ford techs that are aware of it, and might use it, but I don't think it is endorsed by Ford. I'm sure there are plenty of techs completely unfamiliar with Forscan.
Yeah I didn’t know if the ford Dealership would be able to do something like that. I’ve now read FORscan may void warranties. That’s the last thing I want on a near $100k truck haha.

This could be something the dealership might have the ability to resolve for you. In previous years, prior to this new all digital cluster, the cluster had to be swapped out to have the MPH speedo. Being all digital I would think they could use one cluster and just somehow set it for the US or for Canada.
I am going to get with the dealer ASAP. I’ll report back! Hope it’s easy.

Need an azimuth...where did you see this? I haven't seen it on any of the spreadsheets that I recall. If that's the case, I'll have it turned on in about 2.5 Airborne Seconds.
EDIT: After a bit of research, there is an OASIS bulletin that says it cannot be enabled until they release an OTA in 4Q.

2023 F-Super Duty - No Compass Displayed In The IPC
Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles do not have a compass displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Replacement or reprogramming the IPC will not enable the feature. Inform customers that Ford is planning to deploy an enhancement via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) in 4Q2023. Software will update automatically on vehicles with connected vehicle features enabled. Monitor OASIS for additional information. Schedule a service appointment in late 4Q2023, for customers without connected vehicle features enabled once the enhancement becomes available.
If its a Canadian import truck it won’t have warranty anyway.
I wouldn’t take it to the dealer and if you do maybe have a Canadian address to claim it to. You should really look into this so you don’t get flagged. Learn to say Eh Eh Eh a bunch and put a Blue Jays hat on the dash 😂
But luckily it’s digital, the older ones had to replace the cluster face etc miscellaneous.
Forscan probably won’t void your warranty and you can return it to stock if it needs warranty work. Real easy to use once you get into it. Kinda nerve racking, I take cell phone photos before and after changes and save the original settings on my computer which is backed up.
Interesting, I didn't know this; on my 2022, I can just change from KPH to MPH back and forth at will using the menu....which I do whenever I visit the US.
