Hey! I'm totally new to the super duty truck market and have some questions about a future purchase. My wife and I are in the process of looking for a travel trailer around 26-30' and we're looking into a 2017-2019 F250 crew cab 4x4 with the 6.2. Now within our budget the trucks are all around 130-145k miles. Just wondering if that would be a cause of concern for y'all or what to look for when inspecting one. From what I've read and seen on here these seem to be very reliable and mostly issue free but I'm looking froward to any and all advice!
You could haul that size travel trailer with a F150, might expand your options.
What's your budget?
Were it me, I wouldn't want one with the miles you are talking about.
A truck with those miles has little or no value. It is used up. Now, if you already own it, you may be treated to some additional use, but its best miles are behind it.

The 6.2 has proven very reliable even with those miles. That being said, a maintenance history report would be nice. Have plugs, tranny, coolant been serviced?

Really? Not sure most of us would agree with those statements.

Also to note I want to make sure if we want something bigger in the future we’re set.
The thing is that if you are forced by your budget to settle for a truck with high miles, then maybe you are too far beyond your means.
Maybe you should wait and save up some more money, or re-evaluate your goals.
You'd be better off buying a cheaper trailer and spending more on the truck.

You should calculate it a 33 miles per hour and if its really low miles per hour then know it probably wasn’t maintained well as the 6.2 doesn’t have IOLM.
Those miles aren’t crazy if its well maintained.
Its past some important intervals and rolling up on another major interval. $$
Not sure where you are buying but rust/rot is more of a concern on the truck than the mileage on that motor/trans combo. They have been proven to be one of the most reliable Ford(or anyone else) has ever produced in the category. As someone who keeps things to very high mileage, I wouldn't be too concerned. If you are handy they are easy to work on and service yourself. Aside from the few and less expensive common issues which you can read about here, they are really a great generation of these trucks.
I would be try and buy from a private seller and I would not overpay though. If you can afford worst case, dropping a new engine in, then you really don't need to fret because likely you won't need to..
What's your budget? My 2018 6.2L will be up for sale in the near future. Only 40k miles on it.
I don’t understand why people don’t jump all over these posts. I occasionally mention an F350 I have too, I am too lazy to sell but probably should, similar miles. Its just chillin in the alley and my neighbors dont like it, could use the funds for house projects.
I guess people need a shiny dealer sells guy working them over.
