06 f250 6.0 Tire Tool Storage clamp issue
Newbie to this 06 f250...
Got an issue with this Tire Tool storage clamp. It is on the floor under the rear passenger seat.
Looks to be threaded directly to the floor board.
I turn this **** forever lefty loosey but never loosens.
I used a pry bar on it while turning it / feels to be stripped.
It is a bit looser now, i can see threads on the bolt shaft to the floor board but afraid to put a 4ft pry bar on it and rip a hole in the floor board.
My next thought is a hack saw it off.
Just trying it removed for interior vacuuming.....
Anybody run into this before?
Thx for replies Todd Littleton, CO
I don't know how easy it is to fix it since this nut is usually put in during body fabrication.
For your quick thoughts,,,,,
Here is current progress.
The bolt / **** threads into a pressed in threaded swage that was spinning with the bolt thread rusted / frozen to the internal threads of the swage.
I put vise grips under the cab on the female end of the swage
Then tried to unscrew the **** / bolt in the cab and the plastic **** just slipped around the bolt shaft.
Used WD40 & Freeall rust desolver on the threads, let it sit a bit, still spinning on bolt.
Used pry bar up on **** until it snapped. So at least there is just the bolt left stuck in the swage nut.
Might just cut off the bolt and silicon around it by the floor board to keep moisture coming around it from under the cab.

Under cab female end swage nut. I put a vise grip on to keep it from spinning.
Threads stuck... Does not seem like rust. More like fusion of dissimilar metal threads
