New to me truck
Hey all, its been a while. I am finally in the market for a new to me truck. I've got my eyes on F-150 Super Crew 4x4 Lariat's with 5.5 bed. I'd like some opinions on as to what years of the range I have listed, are best?
I recently tried out a couple of trucks, a 2018 and a 2019. The 19 had 82 K miles, and a 5.0 engine, the 18 had 62K miles and a 3.5 Eco boost. Honestly the the 5.0 drove better than the 3.5. The latter didnt seem to know what gear it wanted to be in at the 40-50 mph range. I didn't notice it trying to "hunt" for the right gear with the 5.0.
With this truck, I will be pulling 2 campers, twice a year ( I move them to and from their summer and winter destinations) I will also be towing a a two place snowmobile trailer or a 3 place snowmobile trailer. I want the 3:55 rear end. I currently have an 05 Expedition with 205K miles, shes getting tired. I've use it to pull the camper and sled trailers over the past 15 years, and have had no problems towing.
So, I'd like to hear some thoughts and opinions on what you all think what the better year would be.
