78 8ft Styleside Crossmembers
Any recommendations on crossmembers from later model beds?
I've seen a few people replace the crossmembers w/ steel tubing - but not finding much info on the various sizes needed, etc.
Thanks!

I used 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 3" tubing in a .120 wall. I took the junk metal bed floor out of mine an am going back with walnut and bed strips. That being, said most of what I am doing will not be right for your application.
Best thing you can do is measure from the bed floor to frame in each floor support location.
