I bought olblack 35 years ago. Got the itch to do a frame off .
Pulled everything off. All brake components new differential oils. Wheel seals.
Had it bored 30 over new 10-1/2 pistons. Cam bearings lifters n such. Heads built.
Edelbrock high rise, 650 carb. Plugs, wires
. Then winter beat me to the punch. And I had to go back to work. Put ol rusted cab back on. Eventually it turned into a super powered plow truck. With a 10 dollar torque converter seal that ripped a couple winters ago.
. Well I've finally got the itch back. I have a new seal n converter. Ready to put it back together. And have decided to try n find a decent cab for my 76 , Olblack. And get it back on the road again. Only a little more pretty. That's going to feel real good again cruising around with my arm around my beautiful wife again
Oh Rich, that's not nice. There's no one who can do the level of restoration that Superblue did.
What? Yes we ALL can do it to that level with enough time, money, patience, parts (new and used), an awesome body shop near by, and large shop to work in and and tons of FTE support.
True that, I guess there just isn't too many people willing to do that level of restoration. For example, I tried to save the original ford stenciling on my 75 coil, i put a nice piece of masking tape over it. The stupid tape lifted the stenciling off the coil! So I just sand blasted it and painted.
My needs are a work truck. So not worried about perfect as in pretty. It and everything on it should be in good working condition.
I do like a utility box. Always working on something and nice to have a tool truck. Factory wheels. Heck the snowplow on it is near 50 years old western cable control.
I'm a ol school guy
