Nevada April BS Thread
No major plans this month for me that I'm aware of except getting my riding gear out & my bikes tuned up for some warm weather riding. (Hopefully)
I've been working 4 PT cleaning jobs & I love 3 of them. I work at the Final Final Bar once a week, & the other 3 are every 2 weeks in which I've scheduled to where they flip flop for steady income.
They dont pay much, but so far its enough to keep gas in my truck, my animals fed, cigarettes, my prescriptions &/ or car insurance. I'm glad all of my jobs are local because with this ecomony, if I had to commute more than 15 miles...I couldn't afford to get to work. Idk how so many people can afford to drive from Carson City/Gardnerville to Reno/Sparks or further everyday. I guess it probably wouldn't be so bad if I lived in the city instead of BFE. Atleast living in the city if you break down, there's plenty of people on the road to help & businesses within walking distance. Where i live, if i break down I'd have to walk 25 miles into Dayton for any services.
I shouldn't complain... It could be worse! I could live in Gerlach a minimum of 100 Mi away from the nearest grocery store. Lol
I am currently out off work due to illness. Doctors still have no idea why, but they keep scheduling more tests that cost a fortune in co-pays.
It would be much worse without our insurance.
The throttle pedal linkage where it mounts to the firewall in the truck broke. I am still trying to fin a replacement.
NV changed their insurance rules on anything with a Classic plate that you can't have regular coverage, it has to be covered by a classic vehicle insurer.
So it will remain parked until we get through the medical crap since we don't have $$ for a premium down payment with a classic vehicle insurer.
Still no clue on the health issues, but they are sure they can put me through more tests until the coffers run dry!
